Chinese Medicine for Kids

Kids
Acupuncture offers a safe, natural and effective approach to pediatric care. It stimulates healing, restores the body’s ability to heal, resolves illness and strengthens immunity preventing future illness. Our treatments use painless acupuncture and non-needle treatment techniques, so even children afraid of needles will find the treatments easy and painless.

In Chinese medicine we believe that each child is unique, just as symptoms vary, the treatment varies. We customize each treatment plan to each child’s needs. Sometimes allopathic treatments may not be able to adequately address the challenges faced by a child. Acupuncture and adjunct modalities will aid in resolving the challenges.

Non-Needle techniques available too
Nutrition, Pediatric Chinese Herbal formulas, vitamins and supplements, acupressure, aromatherapy, Tui Na massage, microcurrent, laser pens, cupping are adjunct modalites that could be part of your child’s treatment plan.

Does Acupuncture Hurt?

Acupuncture for kids is essentially painless. Pediatric acupuncturists are trained to use a special needling technique using fine needles the size of a strand of hair. For young children the needle is inserted and not retained, it is immediately taken out. Babies and children do not have to sit still for more than a few seconds at a time.

Children recover quickly and predictably, especially compared to the elderly. In acute conditions, their exuberant qi or energy helps their recovery. Less intervention is more!
